The WORK POST (MLA-16C) mounts on the lathe topslide (or the MLA-13 base if available). The eight "V" slots of various size hold workpieces either horizontally or vertically for performing various operations such as cross hole drilling and keyway cutting. In addition, the WORK POST (MLA-16C) can be used as a "V" block on the surface plate. Even machinists with advanced workshops should find the WORK POST (MLA-16C) a handy alternative to setting up elaborate equipment for commonplace jobs. The kit consists of an iron casting (similar to that of all the kits in the MLA-16 series) and a 3/8-16 x 4" mounting screw. Currently, only drawings and machining instructions are available for purchase.
